Co-Founder & Executive Director

Jane Njogu is a Founder and the Executive Director of Daughters of Hope Resources Society, a nonprofit organization dedicated to empowering Black and
racialized individuals and families. The society provides support in social services, housing connections with wraparound support, and resource referrals to clients in Surrey and Langley, with an office in Surrey, B.C.

With a vision to leverage lived experiences to help individuals overcome challenges and barriers, the organization strives to eliminate poverty and social
exclusion. Jane is a passionate community leader and social entrepreneur. She co-founded Daughters of Hope in 2002, originally focused on supporting orphans
and single mothers affected by war and the AIDS epidemic in Kenya and Uganda. The organization has since provided funds for start up costs for establishing two social enterprises for single mothers to enable them to thrive.

Beyond her leadership at Daughters of Hope, Jane has extensive experiences as a homelessness prevention and outreach coordinator, a mentor and a trainer. She
is also an entrepreneur, running a small business that specializes in ethnic clothing and artifacts. Jane brings extensive experience in nonprofit governance. She is the Board President of Ravens Moon Resource Society and a Financial Literacy Coach. She is also involved in food security matters.

Above all, Jane is a proud mother of three adult children and a loving grandmother to an adorable grandson.
